Canada Geese!

5:46 am:
Just in from looking at the marvelous, early morning pair of Venus and Jupiter. As I was lining up the telescope, I realized the familiar sound in the background was Canada Geese! (Branta canadensis) They are out on the bay already. I don't know if this is the first morning or if they arrived earlier. From my records they are easily a full month earlier than I have recorded in previous years.

Oh Canada!

My crocus were pointing up last week, but maybe they do that evey year under the snow.

I told you I saw a grasshopper the other day.

Sheesh.

But now it's cold again.

Yes, I suppose 22° is cold. However, only skim-ice on the bay, not the usual feet-thick chunks.
